About the project

Petin is a comprehensive application for dog and cat owners to control all aspects of their pets' lives - from health, vaccines and medications to scheduling services such as grooming, boarding and daycare. The differentiator lies in the B2B2C business model: companies offer the platform as a corporate benefit for their employees, providing discounts on bookings and strengthening pet-friendly initiatives.

The Context and Problem

The project emerged in response to a specific demand from the post-pandemic period. During isolation, there was a considerable increase in pet adoptions, creating a generation of inexperienced pet owners. With the return to in-person work, these people faced a dilemma: how to properly care for their animals without compromising their professional routine.

The emotional dependency developed during the intense coexistence of the pandemic intensified this concern, creating a real need for solutions that would facilitate pet care for the new normal.

UX Research Process

The project started from scratch, with a comprehensive qualitative research involving all stakeholders in the ecosystem:

Pet owners

    • In-depth interviews to understand routines, pain points and needs

    • User journey analysis from adoption to ongoing care

    • Mapping of touchpoints with pet services

    • Financial difficulty with rising pet care costs

    • Complexity in balancing professional routine with animal needs

    • Lack of centralization of health information and history

Service Providers

    • Interviews with veterinarians, pet shops, hotels and daycare

    • Analysis of operational processes and scheduling bottlenecks

    • Identification of business optimization opportunities

    • Difficulty maintaining full schedule and optimizing capacity

    • Lack of efficient tools for customer management

    • Need for more effective marketing channels

Companies

    • Understanding of demands for differentiated corporate benefits

    • Analysis of expected ROI in employee retention

    • Mapping of relevant KPIs for HR

    • Pressure for initiatives that demonstrate concern for employee well-being

    • Search for differentiated benefits for talent retention

    • Need to show ROI in benefits programs
